The Thickness Of Sheet Metal Aluminum

The thickness of sheet metal aluminum is generally 0.3~20mm. The maximum width is 5' (1524mm). Generally the width is 4', (1219mm or 1250mm), and the width can be cut to any size less than 1524mm as required.

The material length can be cut to any size as required. It is generally 8', which is 2438mm or 2500mm.

Because sheet Aluminium shows white luster, and the surface is easy to be oxidized and corroded, so the Aluminium sheet is often affixed with PVC protective film.

Aluminium sheet can be sandblasted, brushed, or polished first, and then anodized (in various colors) or chromate oxidation.

When purchasing aluminum sheet, we should pay attention to the following points:

1. The general tolerance of material thickness is +0, -0.08. That is, the actual measurement of plate thickness 2.0mm may only be 1.92mm.

2. Use a micrometer to measure the thickness of the material, do not use a cursor caliper.

3. It’s necessary to protect aluminum plate surface, from scratch, and cracks and cutting tool marks.
