1. Processing characteristics of PVC extrusion molding

Plastic profiles have anti-aging, anti-ultraviolet, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, cold resistance, good thermal insulation and thermal insulation properties, high strength, high-grade impact resistance, etc. It can partially replace aluminum, steel, etc., and be used in construction, lighting, decoration and other industries. Plastic profiles are low prices, and it’s colors can be customized.

The so-called thermo-forming material, that is, it becomes soft when heated, and even becomes a viscous material with certain fluidity. At this time, it can be formed and can be molded into a certain shape to push out. After cooling, it hardens and can be processed repeatedly. Plastics with this property are called thermoplastic materials.

Second, the formula composition

Basic properties and functions of each raw material

  • PVC

    PVC is a synthetic resin obtained by polyaddition of vinyl chloride resin. Commonly used materials are PVC-SC5 resin or PVC-SG4, PVC-SG5 resin, that is, polyvinyl chloride resin between 1200-1000. It is the main base material of profile products.

  • Stabilizer

    The important function of the heat stabilizer is to avoid the degradation of the polymer material due to heat during the processing or use, so as to facilitate the molding process and avoid the deterioration of the product performance. We use composite lead salt (Co-Pb) stabilizer. This stabilizer has the characteristics of good stability, excellent weather resistance and low price, but it has poor transparency and poor dispersion. and susceptible to sulfur pollution.

  • CPE - impact modifier

    Chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) is chlorinated under suitable conditions of polyethylene (HDPR), which can obviously improve the brittleness and notch sensitivity of hard PVC, and improve the impact resistance of products. Among them, the chlorine content is between 33% and 37%. CPE has good processability, dispersibility and impact resistance, and is widely used in the PVC industry.

  • ACR - processing aids

    It is used to improve the processing performance of hard PVC, increase the plasticization speed of PVC, improve the uniformity of melt structure, and prevent the processing temperature from being too high, and can maintain mechanical strength, impact resistance, aging resistance, and improve the appearance of the surface.

  • CaCO3 - inorganic filler

    The important role of adding filler (CaCO3) to the profile products is to improve the thermal stability and weather resistance of the products, improve the hardness and wear resistance of the products, improve the deformation resistance of the products, and reduce the molding shrinkage and extrusion expansion of the products. Effective, reduce costs simultaneously, the CaCO3 used in the production of profiles is active, can reduce the accumulation of fillers.

  • Tio2 - UV absorber, brightener

    When plastics are used outdoors, they are affected by solar radiation and the atmospheric environment and age. In atmospheric aging, "photo-oxidative aging" is an important factor. Adding light stabilizers to plastics is aimed at restraining photo-oxidative aging, so as to extend the outdoor service life of products. Our company's titanium dioxide (TiO2), rutile type, is a light stabilizer, with the best tinting strength and hiding power, almost completely absorbs the most damaging ultraviolet light on plastics, reflects visible light, and is used for white profile products.
